Welcome and thank you for your interest in becoming a member. We’d love to have you as part of our family!

Wherever you find yourself along your faith walk, we welcome you, right where you are. At Fort Washington, you will find a welcoming and affirming community in which to explore your faith, and develop a deeper relationship with God. We believe that all individuals are unique gifts from God, each with important gifts that make a difference in our community and in our world. Join us as we seek to bring joy, and peace to the world and pursue humanity and justice for all.

Below is the information you need to help you get started.

  1. On Sunday, see a member of the Consistory, Deacons or the Pastor and let them know you are interested in joining our Family.

  2. Attend a New Members Luncheon - This quarterly luncheon is designed to enrich your experience at Fort Washington, introduce you to areas where you can get involved, learn more about your gifts and talents, and get to know the clergy.

  3. Attend the New Members Receptions - This is the Sunday where we officially welcome you to the Fort Washington family.

Hospitality @ The Fort

This usher ministry assists with greeting congregants with a warm presence as they enter the Sanctuary, collecting offering, providing guidance during communion procession, and offering any additional assistance throughout the service.

Liturgists @ The Fort

Liturgists participate in the Sunday worship experience by volunteering to read the scripture prior to the sermon. For your assigned Sunday, you’ll receive the scripture via email the Thursday before. Arrive at church by 10:45am on Sunday, pray with the worship team, and process in with the ministers.
