Fort Washington Community Choir
Do you love to sing?
FWCC a hosts a new Community Choir, now in its third season! We rehearse Tuesday nights during the academic year from 7:30-9:30pm. The choir performs for the neighborhood 2-3 concerts per year. The ensemble is open to everyone, regardless of experience, religious affiliation, or age.
Come enjoy a time of singing great music with your neighbors, here in Washington Heights, led by conductor Chris Whittaker, pianist Alison Beck, and Assistant Conductor Elly Steiker-Pearl.
This semester we're collaborating with the United Palace Theater of Cultural Arts to produce "Too Hot to Handel: The Gospel Messiah," a jazz/gospel re-imagining of Handel's Messiah. We will be joined by the Washington Heights Chamber Orchestra, special guest soloists, and other choral collaborators from around our community.
