OUR WITNESS FOR PEACE      
"The leaves on the tree are for the healing of the nations.” Revelation 22:2

   There are 90 names on our Witness For Peace banner.

   45 belong to U.S. soldiers from the five boroughs of NYC
   who have died in Iraq.

   45 belong to Iraqi civilians who have died in the city of Baghdad.

   For every known civilian casualty, there are another
   9 confirmed deaths of persons who have not been identified.

   9 fallen leaves have been left unnamed to represent those
   civilians lost and unidentified in this war.

   Along with these 90 names are short prayers for peace. 
   These names and prayers were written on leaves of green cloth
   and placed around the Tree of Life on a banner facing 181st from
   May until October of 2007 to represent our witness for peace.
