Troy has been our Director of Church Life and Christian Education since 2004. He and his wife, Jonny, have been a part of the Fort Washington church family since 1998 when they started working with the Young Adults Ministry and volunteering as Sunday School teachers. Raised in Kansas, Troy grew up Catholic, found Jesus again at a Baptist revival meeting, studied the bible with non-denominational fundamentalists, hung out a little bit with Jesus People USA in Chicago, served as the Director of Drama Ministries for a start-up-store-front church in Texas and finally found himself living in Washington Heights when he and Jonny went to visit the church on the corner of 181st and Fort Washington Avenue. One thing led to another and Troy found himself coordinating all the programming for our children and families. He has a BFA in Theatre from Wichita State University and he has worked with lots of children in lots of ways as an artist, story teller, song singer and teacher. Troy and Jonny have one son whom they love very, very much.
