The Reverend Dr. Lorena M. Parrish is the Associate Minister of Fort Washington Collegiate Church. A former publishing executive, she is an ordained minister in American Baptist Churches, USA. Previously, she served as Pastor of Claryville Reformed Church in Claryville, New York; as Associate Minister at Trinity Baptist Church in Brooklyn, New York; and Director of Youth Ministries at The Riverside Church in New York City. She has served as a U.S. delegate for the World Council of Churches' Eighth Assembly and Ecumenical Decade of Churches in Solidarity with Women, and her work with women and girls has gained her notice in several national media, including Essence Magazine, The New York Daily News, and TBN national television as one of the nation's most innovative and effective ministers and program developers. A native New Yorker, Reverend Parrish grew up in Brooklyn, New York and earned a Bachelor of Arts from New York University. She holds a Master of Divinity and a Master of Philosophy from Union Theological Seminary in New York, as well as a Master of Science in Social Work from Columbia University and holds a Ph.D. in Systemic Theology from Union Seminary.
