Mission
At Fort Washington Collegiate Church, our mission is:
To welcome, love and nurture all who seek comfort, peace, spiritual guidance and growth; to prepare, through Word and deed, all women, men and children, youth and young adults for Christ-centered leadership in the Church, the home, the community of Northern Manhattan, the nation and the world, as we celebrate our great diversity and rejoice in our common acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord.
Our ministries reflect our efforts to seek, with joy, to recognize our need to give and encourage sharing of the gifts we receive, individually and collectively, be they time, talent, energy or financial resources; and to honor our historic beginnings and seek the direction of the Holy Spirit for guidance in current and future Ministries of the church.
Living well is an art that can be developed: a love of life and ability to take great pleasure from small offerings and assurance that the world owes you nothing and that every gift is exactly that, a gift.
