HABITAT FOR HUMANITY
The Fort Washington Collegiate Church partners with Habitat for Humanity in the belief that “shelter from wind, rain and cold is a basic human need. Through the provision of FWCC member volunteers, the church lives out its commitment to eliminating substandard housing and homelessness worldwide and to making adequate, affordable shelter a matter of conscience and action. We share Habitat for Humanity’s conviction that every man, woman and child should have a simple, decent place to live in dignity and safety.
THANKSGIVING MEAL FOR THOSE IN NEED
As we begin the holiday season, our church family comes together and prepares an exquisite, home-cooked Thanksgivng feast! We open our doors to folks in the community who might otherwise go without and fill our Fellowship Hall with guests referred from nearby shelters and social service agencies. Last year we served over 250 meals to our neighbors in need.
CHRISTMAS TOY & COAT DRIVE
In partnership with HealthPlus Amerigroup we begin a drive in November to collect toys and coats for children in our community. We then gather all the donations and distribute them to families in need during the winter.
