Sunday Morning Church School

Children Ministries - Sunday Morning

Nursery:
Infants and toddlers up to age 3

Our nursery offers loving care provided by a nurturing staff starting as early as 10:30 AM.  Our littlest ones can be left in care of the nursery before or during the service. Parents can then pick up their children immediately following our worship celebration.

Children and Worship in the Summer:
Pre-K through 6th grade

After our call to worship and gathering songs, children are then invited to join our trained teachers and volunteers for their worship and learning activities in the Fellowship Hall.  We gather with children and parents and sing, listen to stories and use arts materials to express ourselves.

Children's Choir

Under the direction of Dov Manski, Assistant Director of Music, our children gather together and work on learning music they love to sing. Newcomers welcome!

During the regular church year (Sept - May)

We work with our children using Godly Play and Young Children and Worship as our basic curiculum for spiritual development.

Children and Worship:  Pre-K, ages 3 — 4
Our pre-school children gather in their worship center dedicated just for them and located inside our Fellowship Hall.  They will hear and see the biblical stories in a way that allows them to enter into them and form responses out of their own life experiences using small wooden figures and various art materials.

Godly Play: K — 4th grade
Children in early elementary school are led upstairs to their worship center set up in the gym where they, too, can experience our sacred stories, parables, liturgy and silence in a multi-sensory way and respond to God's Word with a variety of art materials.

Godly Time: 5th — 6th grade
Our older children are in the first classroom of our Fellowship Hall where they continue their exploration of God's Word and dig deeper into our foundational stories reading them from the Bible.
